"The 12 Apostles are ready to work on the pebbles" This was a clue left by a man who rigged his house full of shotguns. The clue is meant to know where it is. He was shot by one of them and when raided, the house did not yield the final gun. Where was it?

The Machine

So we're here, on Earth, all together. And yet we seem to think we're all on our own separate missions. We go through life on our own paths, always saying how if you want something done right then you have to do it yourself. We become conditioned by this dog eat dog environment and look at forget where we came from. We forget where the heart is. We are all one in the same machine working toward the same goal.

Look at where the world is today and think about why we are this way. So many conflicting interests. Its like we're aliens to each other. We have to look past the surface. Its all clouding our judgment. Things are not as they seem. We each have our own story and yet we don't seem to share. Its like not even we know our own story. We just think its all unimportant but it isn't. Every second of your life matters because it becomes your future. You are being molded into what you will contribute to society. And look at what is being contributed. Strife, poverty, pain. This is what it has come to. There is so much beauty in the world and yet we can't see past all the hurt we cause one another.

There is a fungus in northern Oregon that was seemingly a bunch of individual mushrooms. They found it was one giant organism. It all works together to sustain its life. This is exactly what we as humans are. Seemingly independent people when in fact we are all one in the same. Together. We have to all work toward sustaining life as we know it. Its all a big machine and we all have to do our part. We each have our own abilities and it is each of our duties to fulfill these duties. And they aren't just for benefiting ourselves. They are for benefiting others as well. There are some things we just can't do on our own. That is why we have each other. We must use these abilities for the good of others. It is our responsibility.

Everything we do is connected in one way or another. Whether its tying your shoe or saving a life, it all matters in some way because its all serving a purpose. We all serve a purpose because of the things we do. So why not take it a step further and help each other out in what we must do? Try not to be so hostile when someone does something nice for you. And when someone does, try to do the same for someone else. Work toward that goal of ultimately thriving. Ghandi said to be the change you want to see in the world. Nothing is stopping you. Go for it!

And one last thing, don't read this and think its just wishful thinking because that's the kind of thinking that hinders progress. You can do it. Have hope because that is the most powerful weapon of all. Hope can do so much. If you expect something to happen hard enough and you work toward it, it can and will happen. Have hope. Believe in the world and yourself. The human spirit can do a lot more than it lets on.

Nature vs Nurture

Nature is what we are born with. Those innate feelings that are encoded in our DNA. The instincts carried down, generation to generation. We are born with it all and we cannot help what we feel. There are parts of the brain unmapped. They say it is the soul. What's contained in those parts are things that are who we, as people, are. The human condition, as so many classic novels suggest. These things cannot be learned.

Nurture is what you grow up in. Your environment. You are taught things through the reward and punishment system. If you do something and it makes good feelings or gets you good things, you associate the two and therefore do that thing for that feeling. You are conditioned, as well. You can be conditioned in your interests, sense of humor, and many other things. You are, in essence, taught what choices to make.

They say our choices make us who we are, but it seems as though they make our life what it is. It's what's IN the choice that makes us. On the surface, it makes changes, large and small, to our lives. But deep down, the reasons for our choices are what truly matter. Our nature is what we feel but our nurture is what we do. Not always the same thing. We are but cups. We are empty at birth. And we are all different sizes and shapes of cups. We are filled with water, our nurturing. But, the water shapes to the cup. You are born with your size and shape. Nothing can change that. The only thing that can change is the water inside.

Both roles play a part. Nature decides what we truly feel in our hearts. What we know to be our own personal truths. What we are born with. Our conscience. Things can be passed down or mutations can occur. Or even divine intervention, if you choose to believe so. Nurture plays its role as well. You learn what to associate with what. Tradition, culture, and the like show you what is wrong and right in that particular society. But you only do these things for the reasons you are born with. And that just cannot change.

When doth the sleeping wake?

The greatest battle one will ever face is that between innocence and experience. We are born into the world asleep. We lack any transient thoughts. There is no judging. There is no drama. We look at everything as an empty cup waiting to be filled. We are, in essence, ignorant. So we are open minded. We can accept anything. and we don't have to worry about any sort of tragedy. Our future is a mere fantasy. We can barely even conceive consequences. We are blind to everything and are therefore the happiest we could ever be. We do just to do and think nothing of it.

But, as we grow older, we begin to awaken to what the world really is. The emotional pain, the sexual happenings, the drugs, etc. We learn about everything. It varies from person to person when you learn these things. Nowadays, the generations are learning it at a younger and younger age. They miss out on their childhood. What it's like to feel free from the constraints of worry and fear. And the more experienced you get, the faster the process goes. It is an exponential growth of knowledge.

From this, our society is endowed with the pursuit of knowledge. We strive to find more and more answers. We look to satisfy all our needs, whether it is our natural human curiosity or our need for pleasure. We hunger more and more and it guides our actions. We look at things through new eyes. We fill our cup with empty answers. We close our minds to new and different possibilities. This causes us to judge. To hate. To commit great acts of violence against one another because we think we are doing right. The experience drives us to lose our own humanity, whether on a small or large scale.

Society as a whole is losing sight of what matters because we refuse to remember where we came from. Oscar Wilde once said "I am not young enough to know everything." The young have such open minds so they are able to learn more than any older person could dream of learning. We think we find an answer and automatically close the case when in fact we should keep everything open. There is always more to something. Always.

J.D. Salinger understands this battle and writes about it in Catcher in the Rye. if you get past the whiny kid milking his teenage angst to death, you can see what is trying to be said. Growing up is hard. Especially in those years between innocence and experience. You're losing touch with the darkness, the security blanket, and seeing the light, the true pain, but also the true love. You can experience a greater spectrum of emotion and knowledge, but the pendulum must swing both ways. It is a trade we all are forced to make. We can experience more of life, but on both extremes of emotion.

Innocence and experience really boils down to knowledge. How much of it you have or lack. In all aspects of life. It is inevitable we all learn more and therefore have a need to learn even more. Fulfill these needs we discover. But that doesn't mean we should forget where it all began. Remember what it was like to have a childlike sense of wonder. What it's like to look at the world with happy eyes. Think the best of it. Open up to all possibilities.

Prejudice

How does it really come to be? What could make someone hate someone else just because of the way they look? It can become who you are. Your lifestyle. Something so evil can take over entire communities. So much pain can come from it. Not just physical but emotional. And it not only hurts the victim but the antagonizer as well. They just don't notive it because they take it out on others.

It all has to come from a single seed, planted by either your environment or an incident. Or both. Something that makes you look at it as a normal thing. You can be taught it by an important individual in your life at a young age where your morals are still molding. You learn to associate the greatness from that individual with this prejudice, so it becomes normal for you. It's like it isn't even wrong. But, you can still grow out of it because the pain you inflict on them will still get through. No, you must feel this pain yourself. You must feel something like it so you think it, too, is normal.

From this, you become delusional. You begin to look for reason in this madness. You find logic in the evil you think, say, and do. And the seed just continues to grow. You don't notice the true pain welling up inside of yourself because you're always using it. It's like you're swimming and you don't really have the sensation of being wet because you're in the water. You don't know the difference. That is what true pain is. Makes me wanna cry.

It takes something strong to get you out of that. You must have a life affirming change to come out of something like that. Something to bring you out of the water, feel that harsh cold air against your bare skin. That would wake you up to the true pain inside of yourself. The pain you took out on others.

Let us stop it at the source. Don't immerse yourself in lies, thinking that hating someone just because of the way they look is right. Think about what it was like when you were younger. Everyone was just a person. You were in kindergarten. You played with anyone and 5 minutes later, they were your best friend no matter what they looked like. The pain of the world hadn't yet come to you. Let us go back to that. Deal with your pain when it comes. Embrace it. Learn from it. In the end, it saves your life.

Pay it forward

When someone does a good deed for you or something of that sort, you tend to say "I owe you one" or "I'll pay you back." How about we pay it forward? Do a random act of kindness for someone else? Help three people and ask each of them not to pay it back but pay it forward. They help three or more people. And so on. It's an exponential growth of kindness and good deeds. One good turn deserves another, so pay it forward.

Learning

Why do we take advantage of the world around us? Everything you see, do, touch, it all has a lesson to teach. It was all put here for a reason. Why don't we ever just stop and think about it? It would make us all a lot more knowledgeable.

China, in its early years, created a practice quite misunderstood today. It is known as Kung Fu. Now, this is not just a martial art. It is about the world around you. When you master something, it is known as Kung Fu. It is the art of mastery in general. It was known as a martial art because the movements, the technique, it all encompassed you becoming one with yourself. And you cannot do much in the outside world until you master your own world contained within yourself.

The movements were gathered from the world around us. Taking it all in. Learning the connection between everyone and everything, which is known as qui (chee). You use this to become one with yourself and nature. Mastering your own body while projecting it into reality. You can see these movements in all the regular things you and everything else does on a day to day basis. But it is not just about the fighting. It is about appreciating everything the world has to offer.

So every once in a while, try slowing down and looking at something. Think about how it works. What its purpose is. How you could utilize what it does to your own advantage. Think about how it affects everything around it. Because all things are connected one way or another.

"As many ways to live as there are people"

Each one deserves a closer look. The world holds such great diversity. Each person is unique. Not in the cliched way, but in how each person is made of their DNA, contributed by their parents, combined with the culmination of every memory they have experienced, all making a single human being. No two are exactly alike. And one can never know exactly how another feels of what they go through, no matter how similar the problems. Because we all take everything in a different way.

We must always take this into account when we think about others. Take a closer look at them and yourself. Put yourself in their shoes. And that doesn't mean looking at their situation. Look at their feelings. The general root idea of what they feel. Because if you just look at their situation then your idea about them will skew off on a whole other tangent of what YOU believe should happen. So try for empathy rather than a distinct answer. And never, ever judge. Plain and simple, it isn't your job. Just worry about yourself and what you're doing. And as for "good" and "bad," well, there are no good and bad people. Only good and bad decisions. You make the ones you feel is best for you. And only offer help only when it is welcomed. You can only do so much.

Your opinion of yourself and who you are and how you live is the most important one. All others are secondary. You can choose how much they matter to you. Because you are your own person. And everyone else is their own person as well. Think what you want of them. Your opinion is your own right. But that doesn't mean you have to use it. You could be all wrong. Backgrounds differ. There could be a reason for what you see. So consider yourself ignorant to what you see because if you only see with your eyes then you are truly blind. Rather, take a closer look with your heart. What you feel.

Free Will

Seems to me that every way I go about it, free will boils down to nothing more than ignorance. The more ignorant you are, the more free you are. With science, we don't know exactly why everything happens. Such as radioactive decay. There is an infinitely large amount of data that would need to be processed in order to know exactly how a uranium atom would decay. But it is impossible to figure out so it is said to be probabilistic and random. It really isn't, we just have no way of knowing. With God, our free will lies with the fact that we don't know what we will do next. But He does. How is that truly free? Again, just ignorance. So we can go along in life and do whatever we like, but there will always be a cause. It is never truly random. Never truly free. Just ignorant. Not by our own choice. We just don't have the power.
Change-up
This all seems to go against everything I believe in. But it doesn't. He only knows because we do it. That may seem like a hard concept, but it's true. Time is another dimension. And it is just the flow of events. If we do something, then that is one point in time. That point can be observed from anywhere in the fourth dimension because you are not bound to a set flow like you are in the lesser dimensions. It is still our choice because this free will comes from another dimension. Truly random chaos is the result of vibrations from extra dimensions coming on down to us. Like gravity. It makes its way through the dimensions as well, which is why it is so weak. This free will comes from God. He is in all of us. It allows us to escape the general rules of the universe and have a soul that transcends what we experience in what we see, hear, feel, etc. We go to other dimensions so that we may be free of causality.

The epitome of unfairness

Sex, 9 months of multiplying cells and a mother carrying a precious child, the birth, the growing and developing and maturing, and then he gets hit by a car in his early twenties. How is that fair? Something that took so long to create and shape and everything, and he dies in an instant. This principle can go for anything in life. It is always many more times difficult to create something than it is to destroy it. Something to beautiful can be taken down faster than the blink of an eye. It's just wrong. It's like things are meant to be chaotic. Creation is going against the universe. It takes work to build. And when it is, you are happy. Content. When it is destroyed, you are sad. It just seems like people are meant to be sad. It happens so easily and so often. And yet happiness is the thing that takes work. The thing that is harder to find. Maybe it's the work that you put into it that creates the happiness. Everything that comes out of it is just details. Or is it? Maybe happiness is a detail. Mere motivation to accomplish something greater. Is it your happiness or the product of the achievement of your happiness that matters more? During your process of doing something that you love, say, being a doctor and helping people, you do great things for the world. But the whole purpose you did it was because it made you happy. An example could be found in all walks of life. The motivation to be happy and not sad is what makes us build and cause great things to happen. The ease of destruction is just more motivation to keep it up because while doing that, you make more great things happen. Seems like we're on a cliff and we have to hold on for dear life or we'll fall. We want so bad not to fall that we dig footholds into the cliff. In doing so, we not only save ourselves from falling but we also make little spots for plants to grow that could cure cancer or something! Just trying to think of a good example everyone can relate to. In the end, maybe it's supposed to be unfair so we have more motivation to work toward the master plan.

Harmony

I can hear it ebb and flow
Feel it come and go
You can see its show
In all you see and know

Open up your heart
To every single part
Of the universal art
That's been here from the start

It transcends mere sight
It gives your soul flight
You feel what's truly right
With all your spirit's might

Friends who think they know what's best for you

Alright, buds. Listen. We know you all love us, but please, take a chill pill. Unless it's obviously an immediate life or death situation, stay out of it. We need to make our own decisions because we are the only ones who have walked in our shoes. Even if you have had the same situations go on with you, it is still different. It impossible to see what we see, know what we know, feel what we feel because it will always be observed from our angle. We all observe things according to our unique mind and soul. So the only one who truly knows what is best is us. We must look for the answers inside ourselves. When you butt in, it just messes up the process and can make you seem either controlling or that you just don't want us to be happy with what we are trying to do. You cannot decide our lives for us. That is our job. By all means, help us with the load. Give us moral support. Help us to feel better about ourselves. THAT is your job. Friends are there as a shoulder to lean on in times of need. But we must choose which direction to take. Consider yourself ignorant to what we are going through. It will empty your cup, make you open minded, so that you may accept our water to fill it.

Some thoughts I have had today

This is my first real post. The rest I just copied from my Facebook notes. A lot, huh? Well, I am into philosophy so that is what I would like to talk about today. I have been thinking about what life really is. The biggest question of them all. And though I have many years ahead of me, I have learned quite a bit. Through books, shows, talking to older people, and some other mediums. I first started off thinking about why we do the things we do. Well, all of it leads to a single thing: Pleasure. You have it when you eat, drink, sleep, and, for many people, when you do good by yourself or others. It is mostly metaphysical chemical reactions in the brain, but I have reason to believe the soul plays a part. Because anything can be right or wrong. We can learn any way we want, through tradition or society. But we still have that feeling that seems to come from nowhere, guiding our choices. It can even go against our own survival. This compassion goes against Darwin's "survival of the fittest" because why would we go back for a fallen comrade when there is no need? It is our soul. So that in itself lets you in on our purpose. Follow our soul. But, why must we follow our soul? I must look deeper to see true reasons. Well, we were created by God. Atheists, don't back out on me now. Hopefully you have read my proof and are not too skeptic anymore. If you haven't, read it, then continue. So, we came from him and one day we will return. The opposit of life is not death. Life never ended nor did it begin. It has always been there through Him and always will be. It is just in which realm you reside. In this realm, He has put us here to be worthy. It is why we have free will. We must face the temptations and come out standing strong. Only this allows us to be worthy of His kingdom. If it didn't matter then we would all be mindless slaves. So, that is the purpose for why we are here, I believe. But that can't be it. life has so much to offer. So much to gain. He made it like this for a reason. Throughout time, you see learning taking place. This knowledge is always passed down from generation to generation. Kept sacred. This knowledge is the fruit of life. finding true answers and spreading them around to the next of kin. It allows us to truly experience what God has given us. Appreciate it. This does not only mean how things work, though that is very important, but to see things that are here. Explore yourself, others, and the universe that has been placed before you. But remember not to stray from the righteous path. See it as a gift, a true experience, rather than utilizing it for evil. Which would pretty much be harming your fellow neighbor. This free will is meant to give us a chance to show how we can be strong. use it like that. And we are not all the same either. We do not all serve the same purpose. The free will is also there to give us individuality. We cannot see something from another person's shoes no matter how hard we try. In this, we are unique. So we all have our own purpose. It is not laid before us, set in stone. you must make it yourself. Your choices are what matter. What is in your heart. What your soul says is right. But there is a master plan and others who have free will, so it is not absolute. Each decision has a shelf life. After that period, is is left to the winds of change. But it still has its origin. You made that choice and the effect can greatly differ from another choice you would have made. So you do have the power, but it is rarely what you intend for it to be. The bigger the choice, the more different it can turn out. So as long as you did what you know is right, all will be fine. Life may throw some screwballs too. But it all happens for a reason. Everything that is done to you is so you can learn from it and use that knowledge for when you need it. And then there are drastic things that no one can stop. That little girl dying of cancer. Things like that. They, too, happen for a reason. But trying to know what that reason is is like a bug trying to learn calculus. It just can't be done. We must have faith in knowing that all will turn out well. So, in the end, you make your own purpose through the tools you have been given and you share whatever knowledge you have learned. that is what I believe our true purpose is.

Some interesting thoughts...

everything we do is for pleasure, whether it is directly, like eating, or indirectly, like working an unwanted job to earn money to have fun. sometimes, we do it at the expense of others, like lying to make ourselves feel better, even when it hurts someone else. but pretty much, you can point out anything you do and it is all for pleasure. is this the purpose of life? not entirely. we are only able to feel pleasure because it motivates us to live, to prosper, to search for more meaning. that, my friends, is where the answer really is. the search for more knowledge. we have a hole in our hearts that cannot be filled. it is constantly being crammed with more answers but for every answer is two more questions. everyone has their part, too. we are all one single organism, looking for more and more answers. you cant always find what part you have in this everlasting quest, but you are all somehow related. one day, our quest will come to an end. not because we have all the answers, but because we know too much. we will collapse under our own accomplishments.

My thoughts on religion

it is so sad. people are so desperate for an answer to the great questions of life(where did we come from, what is our purpose, what is right, etc..) that they will do or believe anything without really looking at the whole picture. pretty much, most people just go for the easy answer. other people try to interpret things to their liking, as long as it suits them. and then some people take the answers for granted and use them to control people. i would like to present my cases and please keep in mind i am not prejudiced toward any religion.
the quran, the book the muslim religion is based on, is just the interpretation muhammud, a prophet in the views of muslims, got from the bible. he read the bible and wrote what he thought it meant. people interpreted it to kill infidels and such when it can mean so much more than that. but some people just like to take things and interpret it to their suiting. if leaders tell the people the answers to all their questions, then the people are under the control of the power of knowledge, so the leaders can say allah says to kill their enemy, all because of corruption.
in mormon, joseph smith, a prophet in the views of mormons, interpreted the bible so that he may share it with all those who believe. people followed him because he had an answer and it made enough sense to people so that they may follow the book of mormon. now, there is not actually anything in the book of mormon that you can interpret to be an extremist like there is in practically every other religion. all im trying to say is that its an answer that makes sense to its followers.
catholicism is a combination of christianity and paganism. now, the word pagan is an umbrella term used to describe those who are slow to learn widely accepted religion. but all those religions that opposed christianity were at war with the aforementioned religion. emperor constantine held the council of nicea to interpret the bible, remove controversial books, and add pagan celebrations. this was a necessary evil to save the world from turmoil. it, too, was an interpretation of an answer that made sense to its followers.
in conclusion, all im trying to say is that before you look at the simple answer, look at yourself. just do what you feel is the right thing to do. look inside yourself, truly look inside yourself, before you bother with all the rules, stories, and "answers" that religion provides because the answer is already in you.
now, for my opinion. i save it for last so as to not be biased. if you find any biased statements in this please let me know. i do believe in the holy trinity and how He is the creator and He gave his son to save us from our sins. i also believe that religion is an invention of man, it causes strife, and it was not the intention of Hm. i know that St. Peter was instructed by Jesus to form a way to WORSHIP Him, but thats it. all he wanted us to do was to give praise and learn how to lead a good life. it doesnt matter what we think He looks like, who did what when Jesus was alive, or any of that sort. the only facts we need to know are Jesus dies for our sins and God created us. everyting else we can learn here on earth on a day to day basis. God gave us all the answers we need in ourselves. He made us in his image, so we already know whats right through Him! we are all a part of Him. the bible has been tainted through time due to man, so just look inside yourself. that is all.
an input from Hannah Lancaster which i agree with but seemed to leave out: On the point of religon:
Religon is a man made concept, Religon tells us that for God to love us we have to do certain things we have: be straight, we cant ever commit a crime blahh blahh blahh, Its like they have a ready made list of these things we have to do for god to love us. A father does not say to his son, "i have made youu a list of things... Read More youu have to do, only after youu have done thses things shall i love youu" religon tells us that our father in god has told us this. But god always loved us and always will, the bible says we have to REPENT for our sins, that if we repent he will forgive us. the bible does not say that we have to do things to gain his love, it asks that we repent not that we do what this religon tell us to do.
Religon is not a godly thing, Religon asks us to be perfect, we are not perfect.
Catholics have interpreted religon to mean we should worship the vigin mary, and every other saint, frankly every catholic saint is to be turned into an idol in the name of god, we should not worship people only god :/.
Anyways yeahh i know its random just thought i add something ;)

True beauty

the body is but a lamp shade
the soul, its light
no matter a brocade
if the soul is not bright

shine with intensity
glow with strength
survive with density
and go that great length

if you shine with that light
and you shine with all your might
you will succeed in your plight
and happiness, you will ignite

A good friend

as the sun lays its weary head to rest
your soul still shines bright
it is a beacon of finesse
that glows through the night

the smiles it gives
are that of grace
on and on it lives
in your beauty's warm embrace

though the distance is far
the feeling remains the same
a great friend you are
and bright is your flame

What it means

My heart is but aflutter
When i see that name pop up
You turn me into butter
Each trait cute as a hyssop

We talk for days
Through the twilight
I'm in a daze
You're my highlight

All that we have in common
It is so crazy, but great
I really love it a ton
I'm indubitably sate

Every message is fun
Every laugh is a dole
You are bright as the sun
With how you lift my soul

My first sonnet

As i know this wondrous thing,
I e'er tend to think on 't
I yearn to see it like spring
And it e'er comes up as blunt,
How now hither moves a gear,
Wherefore moves this blasted cog,
Somehow i am never here,
Always bemused in the fog,
It took this girl to spare me,
Her light like a flare for me,
I was saved from all this dark,
Because she chose to Love me

Tell me all your thoughts on God cos I'm on my way to see her

The chaos theory states that seemingly random chaos has underlying order. A single event spawns a pattern, an equation, of things to come. They all must follow that first single event as long as there isn't any outside interference. Remember that. Now, the big bang was this single incident. It set off a chain of events to follow through even today. There is a set equation of everything that has happened after the big bang. But only without any interference. Now, with some interference, the equation is scrambled. The pattern falls apart. Free will is this interference. It could only have come from an energy source with intelligence. It would have to come from another system. This is God. He has given us free will. Without him, everything is predetermined. Everything we do, we do because that's what's supposed to happen. We have no real say. With God, though, we do have a say. We do what we like. We have love, art, all those feelings and emotions that make us human. We are not cold calculating machines built by an equation. We are life.

The Room

There is a room in which you stand
You must come to know this land
It is where you do your work
It is anything but bland

For you see it's like no other
You're put there by your mother
It's where you all shall lurk
With your every sister and brother

The Room gets hot and it gets cold
The work piles on and you get old
But beyond the door is the best perk
If you choose to remain bold

Tis not just beyond that makes you go
Happiness has its ebb and flow
It may just be another quirk
Or it is a beautiful glow

This sustenance is not always enough
Some cannot take the rough
They decide to go berserk
And shed their mortal slough

What lies beyond the door is great
It clears up your sullied slate
Gets rid of all that ugly murk
It is the pinnacle of your fate

But it must not be used so soon
In time you will get to the moon
Get through this crazy cirque
To those who are worthy, tis a boon

Maybe the door is just for ease
Knowing the escape is but a tease
You could leave behind its irk
But The Room, you must appease

Earn your right to use the door
Leave early and its just a chore
You must first do all your work
And be worthy to leave this bore
