Some thoughts I have had today
This is my first real post. The rest I just copied from my Facebook notes. A lot, huh? Well, I am into philosophy so that is what I would like to talk about today. I have been thinking about what life really is. The biggest question of them all. And though I have many years ahead of me, I have learned quite a bit. Through books, shows, talking to older people, and some other mediums. I first started off thinking about why we do the things we do. Well, all of it leads to a single thing: Pleasure. You have it when you eat, drink, sleep, and, for many people, when you do good by yourself or others. It is mostly metaphysical chemical reactions in the brain, but I have reason to believe the soul plays a part. Because anything can be right or wrong. We can learn any way we want, through tradition or society. But we still have that feeling that seems to come from nowhere, guiding our choices. It can even go against our own survival. This compassion goes against Darwin's "survival of the fittest" because why would we go back for a fallen comrade when there is no need? It is our soul. So that in itself lets you in on our purpose. Follow our soul. But, why must we follow our soul? I must look deeper to see true reasons. Well, we were created by God. Atheists, don't back out on me now. Hopefully you have read my proof and are not too skeptic anymore. If you haven't, read it, then continue. So, we came from him and one day we will return. The opposit of life is not death. Life never ended nor did it begin. It has always been there through Him and always will be. It is just in which realm you reside. In this realm, He has put us here to be worthy. It is why we have free will. We must face the temptations and come out standing strong. Only this allows us to be worthy of His kingdom. If it didn't matter then we would all be mindless slaves. So, that is the purpose for why we are here, I believe. But that can't be it. life has so much to offer. So much to gain. He made it like this for a reason. Throughout time, you see learning taking place. This knowledge is always passed down from generation to generation. Kept sacred. This knowledge is the fruit of life. finding true answers and spreading them around to the next of kin. It allows us to truly experience what God has given us. Appreciate it. This does not only mean how things work, though that is very important, but to see things that are here. Explore yourself, others, and the universe that has been placed before you. But remember not to stray from the righteous path. See it as a gift, a true experience, rather than utilizing it for evil. Which would pretty much be harming your fellow neighbor. This free will is meant to give us a chance to show how we can be strong. use it like that. And we are not all the same either. We do not all serve the same purpose. The free will is also there to give us individuality. We cannot see something from another person's shoes no matter how hard we try. In this, we are unique. So we all have our own purpose. It is not laid before us, set in stone. you must make it yourself. Your choices are what matter. What is in your heart. What your soul says is right. But there is a master plan and others who have free will, so it is not absolute. Each decision has a shelf life. After that period, is is left to the winds of change. But it still has its origin. You made that choice and the effect can greatly differ from another choice you would have made. So you do have the power, but it is rarely what you intend for it to be. The bigger the choice, the more different it can turn out. So as long as you did what you know is right, all will be fine. Life may throw some screwballs too. But it all happens for a reason. Everything that is done to you is so you can learn from it and use that knowledge for when you need it. And then there are drastic things that no one can stop. That little girl dying of cancer. Things like that. They, too, happen for a reason. But trying to know what that reason is is like a bug trying to learn calculus. It just can't be done. We must have faith in knowing that all will turn out well. So, in the end, you make your own purpose through the tools you have been given and you share whatever knowledge you have learned. that is what I believe our true purpose is.
